About Peacock Park

Did you know Coconut Grove is a neighborhood in Miami, Florida that was originally settled in the 1800s?! 

Peacock Park, located in the heart of Coconut Grove, was established in the 1920s. The park was created as a result of the efforts of local residents and the Coconut Grove Garden Club, who sought to create a public space for the community to enjoy. The park’s name is derived from the many peacocks that once roamed the area.

Over the years, Peacock Park has served as a community gathering spot and a popular destination for residents and visitors alike. The park features a playground, a bandstand, and a large green space for picnics and other outdoor activities. It is also home to the Coconut Grove Arts Festival, an annual event that draws thousands of visitors to the area.

In recent years, Peacock Park has undergone renovations and upgrades to improve the park’s facilities and make it more accessible to the community – including PADL’s very own Grove station right off the softball diamond! Despite these changes, the park remains a beloved and important part of Coconut Grove’s history and culture.
